Audition Information

This page is designed for students to gather all necessary information regarding the Legally Blonde auditions. Below, you will find various pieces of audition information and links to the audition materials

Main Audition Information

Auditioning can seem intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Remember to relax, project your voice, and don’t let stage fright get in the way of giving it your best shot. Everybody has to begin somewhere, and we’re here to support you. Here are the steps for the fall musical auditions:

  • Complete the audition form, including your name, phone, email, parent info, conflicts, etc.

  • Music: For the initial auditions, you will sing either So Much Better (High Voices) or Chip on My Shoulder (Low Voices). Both of these songs are challenging, so we are also offering Omigod You Guys as an alternate if you are struggling with the notes.

  • Vocal Audition: the music directors will review the selection in a large group, and then you’ll sing it alone. We know it can be scary, but everyone has to sing.

  • The artistic team will call people in small groups on stage to read from pre-selected scenes linked below.

    • You may be called more than once to read, so you must only leave an audition after a director excuses you.

    • Do not be concerned if you are not called more than once – it means the director has a pretty good idea of your ability.

  • Dance: Our choreographer will teach a simple dance combination to gauge how well people can move.
