Character Descriptions

Chris Bean – The director of the Cornley Drama Society and the show’s leading man. Overly confident, overly serious, and barely keeping things together as everything around him falls apart.

Sandra Wilkinson – The society’s leading lady who plays Florence Colleymoore. Loves the spotlight and refuses to let anything—not even disaster—take it away.

Robert Grove – Plays Thomas Colleymoore. Thinks of himself as a master thespian and treats every melodramatic line like Shakespeare.

Max Bennett – Plays both Cecil Haversham and the gardener. A cheerful performer who constantly breaks character to soak up audience laughter and applause.

Dennis Tyde – Plays Perkins, the butler. Struggles to remember his lines and pronunciation but tries very hard to please.

Annie Twilloil – The stage manager. Forced to step in when things go wrong, despite wanting absolutely no part of the performance.

Trevor Watson – The lighting and sound operator. Would rather be anywhere else, but chaos keeps dragging him into the spotlight.

Jonathan Harris – Plays Charles Haversham, the “dead” man at the center of the mystery who can’t seem to stay convincingly lifeless.
